We had so much fun in Canada last weekend that we wanted to do it again.
Nana had a free night for us at the Marriott Renaissance and the weather was perfect, so we headed back up.
We had a room .......
with a view.
We were overlooking Coal Harbor (No, not the home of Sidney Crosby. That would be Cole Harbour, NS. Geez, you should know better).
There is a seawall running along the water all the way to Stanley Park. Yes!! You are correct. Stanley Park is named for Lord Stanley of Preston, from whom the Stanley Cup takes it's name. Very good!
Anyway, we took a walk along the seawall and found may things of interest.

And a wooden sailboat, the HMCS Oriole built in 1921. All operations of this boat are manual and it requires of crew of 18 to sail.
We got to climb aboard and be photographed.
The sailor who showed us around had just transferred from the Army to the Navy. Apparently, one can do that in Canada. He had taken a ferry to the boat which was the first time he had ever sailed! Welcome to the Navy.
Pictures do not do this yacht justice - it is HUGE. Look at the people on the back for perspective.
We had a great view of North Vancouver with the mountains in the background.
We saw cruise ships sailing out......
And stumbled upon the permanent site of the Olympic torch.......
...which is apparently only lit for special occasions.
I also found a beautiful woman sitting in from of a fountain.
So I asked her to join me for drinks at a place I know.
Having been tipped off by Jeff and Niki, I knew just what to order. A Four O'Clock.....

Orange Blossom water 5 1/2 Sheets gelatin

Lydia sampled it and pronounced it a little to strong for her tastes. After consulting with our outstanding bartender, she decided on a

We went back to the Summer Night Market and found that some charm had been lost in the intervening week. We ate more food this time and saw some odd sights.
On Sunday morning we went for a walk in Stanley Park and admired the artist's displays.
Rocky!!
Then it was back to Steveston for fish 'n chips and beer on the boardwalk.
This time we took home some fresh salmon.
