Hangin' with the Vivster in T-Town ("Spending Time with Vivian in Tacoma" for you older folks)

An invitation to hang with Vivi on Sunday was quickly accepted and we sped down the freeway to see the now four-month old.

She has the sweetest disposition and the happiest demeanor!

As soon as we arrived she locked her big eyes on her Grandpa and gave him quite a few HUGE smiles.  He is now officially under her spell.

She also was generous with Vivi hugs.

She sure loved playing with her Nana.

Perhaps I should say "being kissed by Nana".

She has many places to sit and play and bounce and sleep and just chill.  This is one she didn't seem to favor on this particular day.

That expression says it all.

She LOVES her dogs, Charlie and Pepper.

Here are some Vivi smiles......

...and some more photos with Nana.

Yesterday was the day she turned four months old!!

Orcas Island Mini Vacation, Part 4

We went into the town of Eastsound where the Japanese bells BEGGED to be rung.

And lunch demanded to be partaken of outside by the water.

And beer insisted on being enjoyed.

Properly sated, we moved on to Mount Constitution with its majestic views........

....and people taking pictures of those views.

And enjoying those views.

We stopped by Rosario Resort to check it out since its such a beautiful place in a perfect spot.

We found some ducks.

And Lydia found some friends.

On the way back we stumbled upon the marvelous Inn at Ship Bay.  It was cocktail hour and they had outdoor seating and a view with lots going on.

We spent a good deal of time there watching the eagles in the trees.......

...the turkey vultures soaring.....

...the gulls and the ducks...

....and just the view.

Turkey vultures are kind of cool in flight.....

 but on the ground.......

...they are butt ugly.

It was a beautiful night, as you can see so we wanted to chase another sunset.
We found an incredibly secluded spot and parked ourselves there.

If you lay down and looked up.....

...this is the view you had.

We are both enamored with the madrona trees, especially the way they look in the late evening light.

a

The bark is incredibly interesting and the wood is unusually solid.

We were treated to another glorious sunset and found a friend, to boot.

We watched the harbor seal swim and splash around in a school of fish.  Must have been dinner time.

Back at the resort the next day, Lydia made friends with the house cat, Missy.

And it was time to pack up and head home.
What a fabulous time we had.
