My strongest wish for Joe's visit was to take him out whale watching.
Tuesday was the day. Lydia was home, the weather was (once again) perfect and we knew just the
right place to go for the adventure.
And the obligatory photos of us on the boat......
Nice scenery on the way out.
And, although it's advertised as a whale watching tour, there are other sights to see.
But, of course, the main attraction are the orcas. And they did not disappoint.
As much as I would like to take credit for these photos, I cannot.
One of the guides on the boat,
Bart Rulon, had an incredible camera with a serious zoom lens. He took over 160 photos during the six hour tour. Towards the end of the day, he downloaded his photos onto a computer they had on board and made up CD's for us to purchase. He had them ready to go before we were off the boat.
I'm going to let the pictures do the talking.
That's a baby in the middle!!
And that's what we call a good day around here.
If you didn't get enough whale photos, you can cruise on over to my
Picasa web album.
