With the WA State Legislature in double overtime and a beautiful Saturday evening at hand, what is a Mom to do with a one-year old while her Daddy is working?
How about a Tacoma Rainiers game? Great idea!
So Niki posted her plans on Facebook and Nana and Grandpa hurried down to join the fun.
We got to Vivi's house early enough for some fun with books.
And some tickling...
Vivi discovered Nana's new cell phone.
And she just LOVED one of the game apps that Nana has.
I just love that giggle.
Since it was a beautiful night for a game.......
...we went to the ballpark and sat in the Goober Section.
Every team has a mascot and the Rainiers are no different. Vivi made several ventures close to Rhubarb, but backed away every time she got close. Finally, she went with Mom and got a high five.
She sat with Nana for a little while, but mostly she ran around.
Nana was smart enough to bring entertainment since we didn't actually WATCH the game.
Bubbles.
They attracted all the neighboring kids.
Vivi made it into the top of the sixth inning, which makes her officially a five-inning kid.
Since Tacoma is such a happenin' town, you simply cannot go to just one event in an evening.
So we took in the Tacoma Twilight Criterium.
It's amazing how fast those riders go by.
You can hear Vivi say "Go guys!" right at the end.
We had a wonderful time with our granddaughter and daughter-in-law but we missed you, Jeff!

So much fun!! Thank you for making the drive, serving as event photographer and providing superb entertainment for Viv.
