On Christmas morning, we had an excited little elf waking us up and proclaiming that "Santa came!!"
One of Oly's favorite books that we have been reading to her for several days is "A Giraffe and a Half" by Shel Silverstein.
Somehow, Nana had managed to already have a giraffe under the tree for the little stinker.
Good job, Nana!
Hallie had informed us ahead of time that she would not be packing dresses for Oly since she anticipated receiving some from both Grandmothers.
I wish I had a better picture of her in this dress since she looked ADORABLE in it. She will wear it again and I promise a better photo.
Oly got a backpack and quickly busied herself filling it up.
While her father looked on......
Lydia managed to capture a decent photo of mother and son.
And Steph....
Oly loved her blue dress.
Oly wasn't the only one who got presents.
But mostly it was Oly.
And because there were SO many gifts for Oly, we needed to take some breaks during the day.
The first break was for some of Hallie's chocolate cookies.
And then we had a delicious frittata that Nana made for us.
And Oly and Grandpa got cozy and looked at some photos.
And Oly got to watch some of her favorite music videos with Aunt Stephanie.
Steph found some packing bubble wrap and taught Oly how to pop them.
Still more presents to open!
A pop-up book from Silly Grandmom....
...and yet another beautiful dress from Nana.
Christmas dinner was a joint production between Tim and Lydia.
We had a wonderful New York strip roast, red potatoes, green beans, Caesar Salad and rolls. Dinner was paired with Cote D'Rhone and a L'Ecole Cab Sav. Perfect.
After dinner, the required roughhousing continued.
Finally, it was time to settle down and cozy up for a pre-bedtime video.
Oly's favorite - The Grinch.
Snuggling up with Stephanie seemed like just the right place to be.
And everyone retired for the night with contented smiles.
Thanks so much for posting all those GREAT pics. Almost as good as being there. You will have a difficult time convincing people that the pic of Lydia and Oly is Grandmother and Granddaughter.
